Daytimes can be very hot and busy, evenings are more suitable for some to enjoy a meal and to visit some of the fabulous bars, ICE BAR also in Lindos as well.
4. Rhodes Town – Steeped in History, Rhodes Town is always bustling and busy but a “must see” if you’re visiting the Island. The local busses are a cost effective and reliable way to get there, but the journey can be arduous and long in July and August. Several local travel shops in the resort run organised day trips which are well worth the money for a stress free trip.
5. Lardos – Just 5 km from Pefkos, Lardos is a working village, not as such a touristic resort. Visit during the evening for a meal in one of the great restaurants or try to time your trip with one of the fantastic Greek Nights that run monthly on Friday evenings. We will update the group with details of Greek night dates when they are released. Lardos can be reached via bus or taxi or you could walk but please make sure you watch your surroundings and best to walk on the side of the road facing the traffic as there is no many road pavements in-between Pefkos to Lardos but it is do able.
6. Pefkos Cross (Profitis Ilias) – Just a short walk from Pefkos is the chapel of Profitis Ilias. Climb the stone steps to the top and be rewarded with a breathtaking view of the resort and Mediterranean Sea. Many visitors like to do the walk in the early morning when it is cooler and to capture a stunning sunrise.
7. Car Hire & Explore – There are many local car hire businesses in Pefkos and the South of Rhodes. Rhodes is a relatively small and yet very interesting Island. You can hire a car for just 2 or 3 days and visit many of the beautiful parts of the Island including Seven Springs, Prassonisi (where the two seas meet), Butterfly Valley, Siana, Haraki, Monolithos, Asklipio, Tharri Monastery, Farma Rhodes (animal farm) and many more.

9. Symi & Halki – Both Islands can be visited for the day or for a stop over. Trips can be arranged independently with the boat companies or an easier way would be to book a trip once in resort with one of the local travel offices – this will include coach transfer from resort and ferry crossing.
10. Beaches – Pefkos has 4 main Beaches – Lee Beach, Kavos Beach, St. Thomas Beach and Plakia. All are organised and have sunbeds which are chargeable. It is also absolutely fine not to take a sunbed on the beaches (usually the ends of each beach have a space for people who prefer not to take beds) but please be considerate of those who have paid for sunbeds. You can enjoy an evening on the beach also with a take away pizza and a bottle of fizz and watch a stunning Pefkos sunset.
There are also several beautiful beaches in the area which are well worth a visit, namely Tsambika, Agathi, Mohito Beach Bar to name just a few. It goes without saying that we are supportive of any litter collecting initiative and encourage our visitors to leave nothing on the beach expect footprints.
